Capsulitis is the medical term for inflammation of the ligament that joins one of the toe bones to a metatarsal bone, because of injury or undue pressure. This very common injury usually results from to activities like steep climbing, wearing high-heel shoes and performing toe-bending activities like dancing and aerobics.
Symptoms
The symptom often includes mild or severe pain in the front foot as well as discomfort and uneasiness on movement.
Remedy
This condition usually clears up once you give your feet enough rest to heal. You could also try a gentle massage with eucalyptus or peppermint oil to reduce the pain. Avoid high heels or ill-fitting shoes as these put unnecessary strain on your feet. Instead go in for flat level shoes which have strong heel support. If you have severe symptoms, you should seek medical help.
