Our aim

Many people reading a foot health guide are older, in pain, or both. The site is built with that in mind and aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

What we have done

  • Body text is set at 17px with generous line spacing, and scales when you zoom.
  • Text contrast is measured, not assumed — body copy sits well above the 4.5:1 minimum.
  • Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard and shows a clear gold focus ring.
  • Photographs are decorative and are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
  • Headings follow a real outline, so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
  • Motion is limited to a short slide; nothing flashes, and no animation is required to read the page.
  • The layout reflows to any width without horizontal scrolling.

Known limits

The site has not been through a formal third-party audit. Some longer content pages carry dense clinical material that is harder to skim than we would like, and we have not yet added audio narration.

Tell us

If something here is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it — that is a fault on our side, not yours. Get in touch through Smith App Studio and describe what happened and what you were using.
