Method: In a tumbler, mix equal quantities of lemon juice and warm water. Dip the tissues one by one into the solution and place them on your feet for a few minutes. Once the skin has had time to soak in the juice, remove the tissues gently, wiping off the skin as you do so.

Benefits: Lemon is a superb cleansing agent. The astringent properties of lemon act as a toner helping to open up the clogged pores of your feet. The antiseptic property of lemon not only kills fungal growth on your feet but also helps to remove odor from your feet.

3. Homemade Foot Lotion

Ingredients: 1tablespoon almond oil, 1tablespoon coconut oil, a few drops of an essential oil of your choice (lavender or eucalyptus).

Method: Mix all the ingredients together in a dark bottle and shake it well till the oils are blended. Use this oil lotion on your feet every day, preferably after a foot bath, though it can be done at any time. Store the bottle in a cool dark place.

Benefits: Coconut oil has great anti-aging properties and almond oil is rich in vitamin E to help moisturize your feet and give it a youthful glow.

4. Homemade Foot Spa

Ingredients: The juice of two big lemons, 2 tablespoons coconut oil, half cup milk, half teaspoon cinnamon powder and warm water.

Pat your feet dry with a towel and apply a good moisturizer. Put on your socks immediately after the spa bath to preserve its effect.
